The spread of COVID-19 is a global health emergency that has created an extraordinary set of challenges—from logistical challenges to travel restrictions—and made it more difficult for Doctors Without Borders to reach the places others can't or won't.
Our emergency response teams are on the ground in more than 70 countries, responding to this unprecedented pandemic and maintaining our existing projects to make sure services like vaccination campaigns, emergency surgeries, maternal care and mental health consultations are still available to the people who need it most.
As the coronavirus continues to spread, providing this vital care is more urgent, and challenging, than ever before. That's why we're asking our supporters to send a message of heartfelt gratitude to the 41,000 Doctors Without Borders aid workers doing everything they can to save lives.
