Doctors Without Borders is responding to the growing humanitarian crisis in Sudan, scaling up and pivoting our existing response since war broke out in April 2023.

Our teams are providing emergency health care for patients across Sudan and in neighboring countries, as war has forced more than 8.6 million people to flee their homes. We are one of the few international aid organizations still operating in Sudan, working in some of the areas worst affected by the conflict. And in many places, we are the only international organization present.

Doctors Without Borders is entirely funded by independent donors. When a crisis strikes, we are able to immediately mobilize and save lives—sometimes within a matter of hours—in places like Sudan, Haiti, Gaza, and beyond.
