Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is rapidly responding to multiple humanitarian emergencies right now, and we need your support.
Another 6.3-magnitude earthquake struck Afghanistan in the early hours of Sunday, October 15. This marks the third earthquake of this strength to affect the area in a little over a week’s time. The earthquakes and aftershocks have reportedly resulted in 2,445 deaths and injured thousands more. Doctors Without Borders teams were already on the ground, treating patients after the first two earthquakes struck on October 7 and October 11. Our teams treated hundreds of wounded patients at Doctors Without Borders-supported Herat Regional Hospital.
When earthquakes hit or conflict breaks out, Doctors Without Borders is there, responding to people’s immediate needs and saving lives with critical medical care.
